Bible Lessons

About this Bible school

We exist to help ordinary people read the Bible for themselves and find out what it actually says, without cost and without pressure.

Why this school exists

A great many people have questions they have never been able to put down. Questions about why there is so much suffering, about what happens when we die, about whether anything in the world is heading anywhere at all. Most people are never given a straight place to take them.

This school was built to be that place. The lessons take one question at a time, put the Bible in front of you, and let you reach your own conclusion. We are not interested in telling you what to think. We are interested in showing you what is written and letting it speak.

Jesus is the point

Everything here leads to Christ. The prophecies, the history, the doctrines and the arguments are worth nothing on their own, and a course that left you better informed and no closer to Him would have failed at the only thing it was for.

What we most want for anyone who studies with us is that they come to know Jesus personally, to trust Him, and to be ready for His return.

The Bible is the standard

Every answer in this course is drawn from Scripture and shown to you with the passage it came from. Where we make a claim, you can check it. Where the Bible is plain, we say so plainly. Where honest people have read a passage differently, we say that too.

You are meant to test what you are taught. That is not a courtesy we extend, it is what the Bible itself asks of you, and one question in every lesson exists to make room for it.

How the course works

44 lessons in 5 parts, each part with its own certificate. Study online at whatever pace suits you. Nothing is scheduled, nothing expires, and you are not committing to the whole thing by starting it. A great many people take the first eight lessons and stop there, and that is a perfectly good outcome.

Each lesson asks some questions with definite answers, marked for you straight away and shown alongside the verse they came from, and two questions in your own words that a real person reads. The second of those asks what you are unsure about or disagree with. It is not a formality. It is usually the most useful thing in the reply you get back.

A few lessons end with a decision rather than a question. Each one is an invitation, "not yet" is a real answer, and nothing about your access to the course depends on how you answer it.

What it costs

Nothing, now or later. There is no fee, no course materials to buy, no upsell at the end, and your email address is not the price. We do not sell it, rent it or pass it to anyone. Our privacy policy is written in plain words and says exactly what happens to everything you give us, including how to take a copy of it or delete all of it yourself, immediately, without asking us.

Where we start, and why

The first course opens with the question of whether we are alone, because it is a question a great many people are genuinely asking and because Scripture has more to say about a populated universe than most people expect.

It is an opening question and we will tell you so. It is not evidence for anything taught later. No lesson argues that a modern sighting proves a doctrine, and we do not tell you that unidentified phenomena are demons. That claim is common in this subject and we think it reaches well past what anyone actually knows. What Scripture does give us is something more useful: how to test any message when you cannot verify who sent it. The course spends real time there.

Who we are

This school is published by Orion Media Ministry, a Seventh-day Adventist supporting ministry. We hold the Bible as the word of God and the final standard for faith, and we look for the soon return of Jesus Christ.

We say this here rather than burying it, because you should be able to find out who is teaching you in one click, at any point, without having to work it out from between the lines.
